Born into an artistic family, Carrie began her artistic endeavors very early. She was initially inspired by her father Jack Graber. Mr. Graber, a graphic designer and small business owner, provided an environment conducive to drawing and painting. At the young age of twenty-five, Carrie has already accumulated an impressive amount of accolades and awards, which coupled with her talent, earned her a scholarship to the renowned Art Center in Pasadena. There, following her studies under such figures as Burne Hogarth, Harry Carmean and Richard Bunkall, she graduated with a distinction of highest honors. Today Carrie focuses on capturing the beauty and subtlety of ordinary settings. Influenced by Dutch Master Vermeer, her compositions are filled with dramatic light sources. Focusing on an often overlooked subtext, Carrie's depiction of various interior environments come alive as her soft, realistic and bold approach warms the viewers' senses.
